Group language training (conversation)

English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Czech, Portuguese, Swedish, Norwegian, Turkish and Russian

Talen Twente regularly organises open group courses at various levels in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Czech, Portuguese, Swedish, Norwegian, Turkish and Russian.
These courses, with a content tailored closely to today’s requirements imposed on communications skills, are intended for everyone who regularly maintains contacts abroad.

Method

These practice-oriented group courses focus on the improvement of your speaking and listening skills. You are involved in role-playing and dialogues that increase your self-confidence, enlarge your vocabulary and improve your insight into the grammar. The courses focus on the use of the language in everyday situations rather than on an in-depth knowledge of the grammar.
The course language will be spoken as much as possible during the course. Of course, the results from the course are partly dependent on your motivation, learning pace and attendance. Homework and self-study increase the effectiveness of the course.
Our trainers are competent native or near-native speakers who enable the participants to attain an excellent command of the language and, moreover, introduce them to the culture of the regions where the language is spoken.

Schedule

The duration of the course is 15 weeks, with one 1-1/2 hour lesson a week. The lessons are offered on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings.

Small groups

The courses are given for small groups of between five and a maximum of 12 participants of a comparable language level. Working in small groups guarantees sufficient personal attention for each participant. The relatively short duration of the course is beneficial, since it will be easier to schedule the dates in your diary and avoid missing lessons.

Introduction

You can register for the conversation training by phone or via the registration form. The course starts as soon as we have received a sufficient number of applications. You will be informed on time about the starting date and the day and time of the course. Regular attendance of the lessons entitles the participant to a certificate at the end of the course.
